Omaha, NE – Westfair takes place July 27th through August 1st at the fairgrounds in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Byron Menke is the President of the Westfair Board of Directors. He says the annual event draws more than 40,000 visitors each year. Menke says Westfair was build around the area youth who participate in 4-H competitions, exhibition and programs. He says kids bring an assortment of projects to be judged at Westfair including livestock and horses, "as well as their other projects whether it be art, photography, baking, sewing and all of those affiliated projects that the kids work on throughout the year."
Menke says Westfair features an assortment of arena events including tractor pulls and RV races. He says Go Kart races are new to Westfair this year. Up and coming country western band Gloriana headlines the Saturday night concert.
