Omaha, NE – A winter camp happening in mid-January is designed to help teens with cancer enjoy a weekend of fun.
The Teen Winter Camp is January 16-19 in Guthrie Center, Iowa. It's sponsored by Camp Quality Heartland. Director Missy Schreiber says the weekend-long camp allows the teen cancer patients, those in remission and their siblings to spend a weekend with others who can relate.
Schreiber says the teens spend the weekend watching movies, participating in outdoor activities, and playing games. She says the Camp gives teens a sense of normalcy.
The registration deadline is January third.
