Yellowjackets to perform in Omaha Saturday night

Omaha, Nebraska – Veteran contemporary Jazz band the Yellowjackets are visiting Omaha Saturday night.

For over 25 years, the Yellowjackets have flourished as one of the top-selling contemporary jazz groups. With Bob Mintzer's saxophone, Russell Ferrante's keyboards, Jimmy Haslip's bass, and Marcus Baylor's drums, the band continues to thrive into the 21st Century.

With more than a dozen albums and as many Grammy nominations to date, the Yellowjackets' most recent effort was the CD/DVD combo "Twenty-Five", celebrating the music they have created over the last several decades. Countless worldwide performances include a set at the prestigious Iowa City Jazz Festival in 2004.
