Youth Frontiers Teaching Kids Values

May 31, 2013

Over the last 25 years, Youth Frontiers has worked with over 1.2 million students across the country.

Joe Cavanaugh, Founder and CEO of Youth Frontiers, says their goal is to etch character into the hearts of young people by offering 1-day in school retreats focused on character building.

Cavanaugh says Youth Frontiers hopes to get kids to unplug for a day and focus on what’s important in life.

He says they do this through music, interactive games, small group discussions and powerful presentations on values.

“There’s a culture of disrespect at the schools, such as bullying, that’s a significant distraction to learning.  Secondly, we are facing a generation of kids who are disconnected from their moral compass and a sense of personal responsibility.”

Cavanaugh says Youth Frontiers unapologetically talks about the importance of values such as respect, kindness and responsibility.

Youth Frontiers will host its annual fundraising event in Omaha next Wednesday.
