Union Pacific profits up 15 percent in 3rd quarter

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Union Pacific says its third-quarter profit soared 15 percent as price increases and more automotive and chemical shipments helped the railroad offset a 12 percent drop in coal shipments.

Dundee Business District Renovation Project Public Meeting Set for Next Week

Construction is scheduled to begin in April 2013 on the Dundee Business District.

The $2.5 million renovation plan has been in the works for the past three years.  Omaha City Councilman Pete Festersen says the plan is now in its final stages. 

He says there will be a final public meeting on Tuesday, October 9th for merchants and residents to give input on the project.  Festersen says attendees will have the opportunity to review the major elements of the plan.
