OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — A judge will decide Wednesday morning whether to close a preliminary hearing for an Indiana man accused of killing four people with ties to an Omaha medical school.

A man charged in connection with two double homicides in Omaha is scheduled back in court Wednesday for a preliminary hearing.

Former Creighton pathology resident Dr. Anthony Garcia will be held in the Douglas County Department of Corrections without bond pending the outcome of an August 14th preliminary hearing.

Dr. Anthony Joseph Garcia will have his first appearance in an Omaha court Tuesday morning.

A former Creighton pathology resident accused of killing four people has returned to Omaha.

 

Omaha Police confirmed that Dr. Anthony Joseph Garcia was extradited Thursday from Union County, Illinois. Garcia is being held at the Douglas County Department of Corrections in Omaha. He's charged with four counts of first-degree murder and four counts of use of a weapon to commit a felony.

 

The man accused of killing an Omaha doctor, his wife, and the son and housekeeper of another doctor will be extradited to Nebraska.
