A new report shows Nebraska is making some progress when it comes to lowering the rate of babies born prematurely.

The Douglas County Health Department is encouraging everyone to get a flu shot.

Childhood and adult immunizations are the focus of tomorrow’s Omaha Science Café. 

Dr. Ally Dering-Anderson, Clinical Assistant Professor at the UNMC College of Pharmacy, is the guest speaker. 

She’ll discuss types of diseases people are immunized against and the benefits of adult and child immunizations. 

Dr. Dering-Anderson says she’ll also talk about the changes in mortality rates as a result of vaccines.
