Douglas County Board continues budget discussions with new fiscal year approaching

Douglas County’s new fiscal year budget is once again up for discussion Tuesday.

County Commissioners will discuss the budget at their 9am meeting Tuesday. Two weeks ago, Finance Committee members grilled county department heads on their budget requests for the coming fiscal year, which begins July 1.

The County Board asked all departments to present flat budgets, and justify any requests for additional funding.

County Commissioners are scheduled to vote on the 2012-13 budget later this month.
