Science Cafe focuses on agriculture, livestock, horticulture

Beef and bees are the focus of UNMC’s latest Science Café.

Not many people are aware that a small lab in Nebraska is at the forefront of 3D printing prosthetic evolution.

The Nebraska Science Festival is a celebration of science of all types throughout the state. 

The first annual Nebraska Science Festival takes place April 12th through the 14th all over the city.

David Kriegler, an instructor of astronomy and physics at UNO, is the guest speaker for Tuesday’s Science Cafe.

Tonight’s Omaha Science Café explores science outside of the traditional classroom.

The University of Nebraska was recently awarded $980,000 from the U.S. Energy Department as part of its new nuclear energy innovation investments program. 

David Crouse, a professor in the Department of Genetics, Cell Biology and Anatomy at UNMC, is the guest speaker. He says issues related to radiation and radiation exposure have always been in the public eye. Crouse says there's a great deal of knowledge about radiation and its effects, but since radiation can't be seen, tasted or heard, the public is fearful of it.
