Iowa population continues 26-year gradual increase

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Newly released figures from the U.S. Census Bureau show Iowa continues a trend of slow population increase. The state has an estimated population of 3,090,416 as of July 1. That's an increase of 15,377 — about a half a percent increase since July 2012.
